Position Overview

Renovation and Restoration crew members perform tasks involving physical labor for

renovations and construction projects, emergency services, and demolition. May

operate various equipment, including hand and power tools, skill saws, drills, table

saws, and chop saws. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support

walls and ceilings, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris, and assist the lead

carpenters with various construction services. Renovation and Restoration crew

members must have good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and balance. They

must be able to read and understand warning signs and labels on a construction site and

interpret plans, drawings, and written instructions and specifications. They must be

able to climb ladders and perform tasks while working on ladders. They should be capable of

working as a team member and have basic problem-solving, common sense, and math

skills.

Hours

Typical working hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 pm with 1-hour for lunch. From time to time, there will be a requirement to start earlier or finish

later as work dictates. This role may also require working on weekends and some

travel.

Duties:

Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe job site.

Maintenance and cleaning of equipment.

Updating the production supervisor on any changes in the details of the project.

Assistance with emergency services and after-hours work service if

needed.

Replace bathroom and kitchen fixtures/faucets.

Replace associated piping and accessories connected to the fixture/faucet.

Read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities.

Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.

Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them

to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications.

Help equipment operators, carpenters, and other skilled labor when necessary.

Some basic electrical work.

Assist as required in all manual labor aspects of the project, as directed by the

Crew Leader or Project Manager.

Put together and take apart temporary structures, such as scaffolding.

Perform daily site clean-up.

Assist with tile installation.

Perform basic carpentry.

Install bath accessories.

Install door hardware.

Complete all tasks on time when able; if not able, communicate this to the manager

before the expected completion date.

Customer cheerleader development.

Other duties as assigned.

Reports to the crew leader and Junior Project Manager.

Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus, but not required

Ability to drive a company vehicle (driver’s license required). Must

have a clean driving record

Safety and Compliance

Observe all safety policies

No cell phones are allowed on the job for personal calls. Only emergency calls are

allowed.

Physical Requirements

Must lift heavy items up to 75 lbs. on a routine basis.

Employees will be working with cleaning, deodorization, paint, sealers, and other

products daily. Gloves, respirators, and splash goggles are available for

use.

Employees may be required to climb ladders routinely and work in high places.

The workspace may be contaminated with heavy smoke residue, mold, mildew,

contaminated water, or other unsanitary conditions. Protective gear is available for

use and is required on some heavily contaminated work sites.

Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

Must be able to bend, stoop, and wipe frequently.

Must be able to read a tape measure (in meters).

Position Requirements

Must report to work before 7:30 am and be prepared to start work at 7:30 am

sharp. Report time may change depending on the particular project. Your

supervisor will let you know when this time will change.

You are allowed an unpaid one-hour lunch break after four hours of work have been completed.

When an on-location project is scheduled, the van will leave the office precisely at

a specified time. If you are late, the van will leave without you. Please be on time

Must wear uniform at all times.

No cell phones are allowed on the job site for personal calls. Only emergencies.

 

Compensation

$18-$20 per hour
